2006 Airfest Gives over $25,000 To Local Charities
St. Petersburg Airfest board member Steve Tolliver and President Dave Thompson (on the left) present a check for $5,000.00 to the Boy's & Girl's Clubs of the Suncoast. The presentation was made at the Royal Theater Arts Academy at 1011 22nd Street South in St. Petersburg. The Academy is opertated by the Boy's and Girl's Club. The check was one of several given to local charities including All Children's Hospital, P.A.R.C., Family Resourses and others.
Our mission is to produce a premiere event for the City of St. Petersburg. An event that achieves the following:
- Provides entertainment for the residents of St. Petersburg.
- Has educational and historical value
- Provides a significant economic impact for the area by drawing large numbers of people from all over the State and beyond to our city.
- Gives residents a broader base community use and involvement in their city owned public airport.
We shall strive to meet all of the above while meeting our primary goals of raising money for charity and promoting widespread volunteer community involvement.
