is in a holding pattern
until further notice.

The St. Petersburg Airfest Committee along with the Albert Whitted Airport Preservation Society will sponsor an open house as part of the Party in the Parks Celebration to be held Nov. 6th as part of the 100th anniversary of the downtown waterfront parks system. This day long celebration encompasses the entire waterfront park system including the new Albert Whitted Park. Visitors to Albert Whitted Park will be able to view Military exhibits and access the airport to get an up close look at Military Helicopters, Warbirds, and civilian aircraft.

With the tough economy airfest promoters haven't been able to muster the sponsorships and community support needed to put on the St. Petersburg Airfest.  Plans are underway to bring this popular event back in the future.  Watch this website for updates.
