2008 St. Petersburg AirFest Postponed
The 2008 St. Petersburg AirFest scheduled for October 19-21, 2008 has been rescheduled for October 23, 24, 25, 2009. Current economic conditions were cited as the reason for this decision. St. Petersburg AirFest President, Dave Thompson said "Corporate sponsoships and donations were laging behind projected goals and rather than scale back on the size of the air show we decided it would be better to plan a bigger show for 2009." Thompson went on to say "We have a lot of loyal air show fans who expect a first class air show and we didn't want to disapoint them."
